Ah! Where has time gone to? 3 days to go and I am not ready to leave yet! I still have lots to do and I still have to pack! Then there is the airport and the jet lag and lots and lots of people going every witch way. Just thinking about gives me a headache!  (You might notice that airports are not the first thing on my top 10 favorite things.)

L'aéroport de Vancouver a beaucoup de arts. Cette scuplture est un exemple.  C'est une sculpture par Bill Reid. Un fait de cette sculpture est elle est sur le vieux billet de 20$. Maintenant, elle ne pas sur le billet de 20$ parce que il y a  un nouveau billet qui est en plastique. Nous allons voir cette sculpture quand nous avrivons à l'aéroport à 6h00 du matin!

Syrup produced from le Cabin de Sucre

      We leave for Quebec in five days!!  I am going to be talking about "Le Cabane a Sucre".  I have heard a lot about it from my brother, Nick. He went last year and he told me that we will be trying different courses and will be given a small bowl of premium maple syrup to try with the food. It sounds very exciting!! We studied this a bit last year and saw how it is all done.
       For the most part, Canadian Maple syrup is made at this certain place and personally, I love it so i believe that this will be a highlight for me. Also, Nick had brought home some maple syrup butter and some premium maple syrup and they were ssoooo good. I wish to do the same. I wonder how much syrup they make? Or how many square feet they own?

DJS here - don't ask for my name, ask Mme A. or Mr. L for it if you really want to know and have contacts with the school. Jovan's with me too (he is fine with using his name, so...) and our subject today is apparently our hopes/expectations for our trip.

The part I'm looking forward to is shopping and all the free food. Can't miss that, can we? Jovan says that the part he's looking forward to is Valcartier Village. Seems to be everyone's favourite part - but mine. I don't even know when we're going there (don't remember seeing it on the schedule) so... Yeah. :/

Je pense que nous allons faire trop de nous amuser - et c'est okay. Jovan dit qu'il va fair trop de s'amuser aussi, et nous convenons sur ça. Wheee.

Rosemary Visit of the Sugar Shack

I think going to the Sugar Shack will be really fun because I love CANDY<3! It's my guilty pleasure. I think it would be fun to see how they make maple syrup, I've always loved making things, though I'm not the best at it. It's really sad that it's on the 5th day, I have to wait so long!

Je pense que le dîner à l'érablière va être très bon. Je ne sais pas qu'est-ce que l'érablière va me donner pour manger. Je imagine nous mangeons des bonbons... Je ne sais pas pourquoi! Je pense que cette une érablière qui donne des bonbons pour dîner?

 I think I will be a good ambassador because I am respectful of people around me and if somebody tells me not to do something, I usually don't. I listen well, I'm good with instructions and helping people who don't get it.

I am soooooo excited to go to the Valcatier Holiday Village because.... well, who in their right minds wouldn't be excited to a giant snow park? I can imagine if you were scared of hights, then that might cause a problem, but thankfully I'm not one of those people. More specifically, I'm excited to go on the big group raft because I can totally imagine going on that with all my friends. I looked at the internet site for the Valcartier Holiday Village and I can honestly say that I will never in my lifetime go on "The Everest". Mostly beecause I'm afraid that some freak accident will occur. But, who knows? Maybe I'll feeled pressured to it and absoloutely love it afterwards. I've never seen myself as an adrenaline junkie but it's never to late to try new things!:) (The other day I tried a new sub at subway... IT WAS TOTALLY AWESOME!) Anyways, that was totally off topic but the show must go on. Another thing I can honestly say is that I am so excited to go to Québec.

I'm really excited about the sugar shack i'm really interested about the way they take the sap from the tree and make it into the really good syrup. I really want to see the way they make the candy's to. My  dad is from quebec and his family has a sugar shack and he says le sirop d'érable is his favourite candy and that all the syrup they make is really good. I really want to try all the candy to is supposed to be really good.

Aussi, je veut voir le chateau de glace c'est completement de glace.  Pendant le nuit ils mettons les lumieres de touts sort de coleurs et le chateau se lume. Je veut voir beaucoup. je veut rentre et voir par l'interior. Je pense que sa fait tres bonne.

                                Un Bon Ambassadeur

Je pense qu'un bon embassadeur est un personne qui écoute. Un personne qui est polit et qui essaie très fort de parler français pendant que nous sommes à Québec.  Pour être un bon embassadeur, je vais faire tous ses choses et avoir de la respect pour ce qui nous enseigner. Un autre chose pour faire à Québec et de suivre les directions et si tu as un "buddy" tu as besoin de rester avec cette personne.  Je suis encore très excité pour aller à Québec!


                                                                   A Good Ambassador

     Another thing to keep in mind for being a good ambassador while in Québec is to be as nice as possible to: the security at the airport, the driver who will drive us to Auberge, as well as the staff at Auberge. Don't make inappropriate jokes such as talking about snakes on the plane...(haha) But in all seriousness don't talk about bombs at the airport or at the parliament building. When it's time for lights out, you should turn out the lights and try to go to bed so you can have lots of energy for the next day. You also don't want to annoy the people on the floor above you.

      On va au Québec dans une semaine!!  J'ai hate d' allée et rencontre ma corespondante. Elle s'appelle Florence Calletta.  Hier soir, je parlais avec Florence. Nous parlions du soccer et maintenant je sais qu'elle pense Liverpool est la meilleure équipe!
        Je ne commence pas faire mes valises mais je vais commencer tout suite.  Il y a beaucoup de choses de emballer pour le Québec et j'ai déja achèté quelques choses comme mes bottes, un bon manteau, des chapeaus, et des gants.

      I have heard from other students that have visited Auberge that the rooms are very small.  There is also a rumour going that the walls are as thin as a piece of paper.  I hope that nobody sings in the shower!! I was disappointed when we found out from M. Levenstein that our class will be receiving our "room buddies" the night that we arrive! On the other hand, I understand because it will cause a lot of stress. I guess that I am just curious.  I hope that I get great people to stay with because otherwise, I will not enjoy this AMAZING experience and oppertunity.

He should not be violent because the residents of Québec will think wherever you are from, city, village, province, continent, is a bad place. I’m very excited for Quebec. I’m a bit stressed about being in an airport for sometime, as I don’t always do well in airports and I’m a bit stressed about jetlag, as I haven’t had jetlag before. I just can’t wait for Quebec!!!

Le Cafe Buade dans le vieux Quebec

>     A Quebec, on va represente pas juste notre ecole, mais la ville de Vancouver et la province de la Colombie Britanique. Pour etre un bon embassadeur je vais parler le francais ou les autre personnes parle le francais.  Je vais etre polit aux autres.  Je vais etre responsable et suivre les regles des professeurs.  Et le plus important, ETRE RESPECTEUSE!!!!!!!!  Ce sont quelques exemples que un bon embassadeur peux faire.
    
     Another reason to speak French in Quebec is because to be fully emersed in my new launguage, I have to speak it.  It is also a personnel decision, if you want to take the risk, or not.  It would be fantastic if could leave a good impression on my school, and all of British Colombia.  I believe the biggest way to demonstrate a well behaved ambassador is by speaking French!  I will be using my French skills when I go to a cafe called "Le Cafe Buade" where I will get to order in French.  I think that i will thoroughly enjoy that experience.  Personally, I love talking in french so I am very excited! Hmm... I wonder what I will order?

Hello my name is Nicki, and I will be attending the grade 7 quebec trip. I am very excited to be going to Québec for the first time ever, but I would have to say the part I am most looking forward to is visiting the circus school of Québec and maybe getting to try out their equipment. I am also excited to spend some quality time with my friends, there will be many things to do there and I am glad I get to share it with them. I'm most excited about the plane trip, shopping, and visiting the different sites.    Hi my name is Aash and I'm really excited and lucky to have the opportunity to go to Québec with my class mates. I'm nervous about the airplane ride because I'm afraid of heights, and the only part about the flight I hate is take off I love the part of the flight which is just flying I know that dosen't make sense.  Anyways, Its probably gonna be freezing in Quebec... so when we get on the plane we're probably going to be wearing jeans and a shirt and jacket.  I'm scared of heights, like, really scared... when my friends went indoor rock climbing, I died.  The wall was only 2 stories tall!

HI! My name is Hannah T. and I'm so excited for Québec. I'm really excited to meet our penpals and go to Montmorency Falls! I'm can't wait for the flight there and I can't wait for the snow!!!! It's actually snowing right now so i can't imagine what the weather's doing in Québec. It's going to be freezing!
